2022 Silver Creek Men’s Golf League Season

If a player does not have an established shot average, his shot average will be calculated after his first round based on his Gross Score for that round. The shot average is determined by subtracting par 36 from his Gross Score.

Players match up based on shot averages; thus, each opponent should have shot averages as close as possible to one another. Maximum shot average is 27. MAXIMUM allowed: 1 shot average stroke per hole.
The player with the higher shot average is given a stroke shot average on the number of holes equal to the difference between his and his opponent’s shot average. The strokes are used on the hardest holes on the course, as shown on the score card (hardest holes have a lower number).

In a given players’ match, there are a total of 11 points competed for between the 2 players (9 points for the 9 holes + 2 bonus points for the player who scores the most points, thus winning the match. If the match is tied each player receives 1 bonus point). If a hole is tied, each player receives 1/2 points otherwise the winning player receives the full 1 point for that hole. These points contribute to the player’s individual points and the team’s points total.

Calculate the Gross Score for nine holes for each player. Calculate the Net Score by subtracting the shot average from the Gross Score. This Net Score is calculated in the team’s point calculations. Gross – Average = NET score

When PLAYING THE COURSE, a player receives his full shot average in strokes, plus an additional number of strokes as determined by his shot average as shown below:
Nine Hole Shot average: The hole par increase for playing the course by:
0 through 9      1
10 through 20  2
21+                  3

Each competition of four matches consists of an additional 10 team points: 10 points are awarded to the team with the lowest Net Score total. Or 5 points are awarded to each team in the case of a tie.

MAXIMUM for any player on any hole is ten (10) strokes.

Any discrepancies in scoring, on the course or etiquette, MUST be resolved at the time of the incident, before entering the club house.
Please utilize common sense and gentlemanly play.

As of 2022, averages will be adjusted into the playoff rounds.

MIIGWETCH gentlemen, let’s have a great season!!
